Equivalent to Project Turning Point at Family Counseling, for half the costs No appointment fee, no eval fees, no added hidden costs. When you factor in multiple trips back and forth to our competitor, appointment fees, lost time from work, our program is half the price of our competitor's program. Our program is facilitated by a Nationally Certified Counselor who is also licensed by the State of Georgia (LAPC), and is supervised by Sam Evans, EdS, MEd, LPC, CRC, NCC, internationally known counselor who has been working in the criminal justice field and rehabilitation field since 1989. Theft Deterrence Strategy, Tactics, Alternatives, and Rehabilitation to facilitate misdemeanor and felony theft deterence and shoplifting deterence, is offered at our Gaines School Road office in Athens, every Wednesday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in English and Thursday 5pm to 6pm in Spanish. Project STAR curriculum is adapted from a cognitive behavioral approach but delivered in a Person-Centered manner. It is psycho-educational in nature. The program teaches "Making Better Choices". It consists of 4 classes / groups and each participant receives a Certificate upon successful completion. This program is also beneficial for those who have been convicted of other types of theft.
